Neo 300

Efficient mechanical filtration combined with the convenience of using ready-made filter media cartridges? This is possible in the new Neo 300 filter from Aquael. In one product we have combined these possibilities. 

Water purification in the Neo 300 filter is carried out by trapping particles of dirt on the filter mat. The capacity of the maximum open filter is 320 l/h, which allows you to effectively purify water in an aquarium up to 100 l in volume. 

Directional nozzles 

An interesting solution is the use of two interchangeable directional nozzles in the set. The first is a classic jet nozzle, which comes with an aeration hose. 

In addition, the set includes a nozzle from which the water flows out in a semicircle. The 180-degree outflow of the water gives better aeration of the water, it also sets it into a gentle rippling motion. 

The filter uses a useful mounting solution. The rack attaches with 4 suction cups. However, the basket with the filter module slides out when pressed. This makes it very easy to service the filter – the motor stays in the water all the time. 

The design of the Neo 300 filter also allows it to be mounted at an angle or even horizontally. If the arrangement inside your tank requires it, you can use such an option to more easily hide the filter behind plants or other fixtures. The Neo filter is also discreet due to its flat shape. 

Capacity adjustment

You can easily adjust the flow rate of water through the Neo 300 Filter. The filter is equipped with a capacity regulator that will allow you to adjust the strength of the flow to your needs. 

In addition, the filter is equipped with an aeration tube. It ensures adequate oxygenation of the water in the tank. 

Cartridges for the Neo 300 filter 

Do you like the convenience of prepared sachets for water filter media? Three types of filter cartridges from Aquael’s offer are dedicated to the Neo filter: 

– Standard Wool – a replaceable cartridge made of thick filter wool, which provides efficient mechanical filtration of water 

– CarboMAX – filter wadding cartridge with activated carbon; in addition to mechanical filtration, it additionally eliminates chemical impurities and discoloration from water 

– PhosMAX – in addition to filter wadding, it additionally contains a phosphate eliminator, i.e. protects the aquarium from algae infestation 

The filter holds 1 sachet. The cartridge should be replaced regularly to ensure proper water filtration conditions. We recommend replacing them at least every 2-4 weeks – detailed information can be found on the package. 

On the front of the filter we recommend placing a thin layer of sponge. It provides an additional barrier against the entry of fry or shrimp into the housing. It will also be a place for the development of beneficial nitrifying bacteria. Suitably cut sponge is included in the kit.  

Protection for shrimps and fish fry

The safety of the aquarium inhabitants is our top priority. Therefore, we want to make sure that the internal filters are properly protected against small fish or shrimps getting behind the casing, as they are the most vulnerable due to their small size. That is why we recommend placing a thin layer of sponge on the front part of the filter. It provides an additional barrier to protect small animals and also provides a place for beneficial nitrifying bacteria to grow. A properly cut sponge is included in the set. Remember not to throw it away when replacing the ready-made filter cartridges, but to rinse it in aquarium water.
